Her little arm is reaching out for something, maybe a hand to hold.  Only eight short days and it will be held by her Mama and Baba.  We have no idea what December 16th will be like for her, except she will meet us for the first time face to face.  She has seen our pictures and been told we are coming, but can an orphan really understand what a family is, what love truly means, that her every need will be met.  I know her care takers love her and their hearts will break too the day she leaves the orphanage, as she starts her new life in our family.  I approach this day knowing as her parents we do what is best for her because we love her, even though these next few weeks may break her heart, leaving the only home she has ever known.
