Week in Guangzhou pictures

Hanging out in the hotel room
This is a famous anchestry hall where they hold musical/theatrical performances.  They were preparing for the upcoming holiday with new flowers and landscaping.

I thought these two adjectives described the boys well!

                                       He was overheating........
I was drawn to the beauty in this lamp post outside the theatre.  Reflecting back after the last blog post, I realized maybe the lamp post is a sign of Hope and light for Wen Xiang.  Despite that cold November day, when he was left under a lamp post, he now has a light, a family, and ultimately access the knowing the true light for his life, Christ.

Justin trying to catch a fish!

Building trust in those we are beginning to love!
A face of a child who almost lost his chance at life with a family....days away from "aging out".  Which means he would no longer be available for adoption.  God still redeems even though it may be years in the making!  Love to see these kids thrive in the face of adversity!  He is a great young man and Justin and him had a great time splashing in the pool.  All this young boy needed was a family to take a risk- no not a risk a chance, and let God do the rest!  I wish a had pictures of day one in the pool, timid and shy, and then by the end of the week he and Justin were getting "scolded" by the lifeguards for having too much fun!

They Sly fox at the pool sneaking up on the girls!!!  PEAK - A - BOO!

Once close enough he took their phones and glasses!
Scars tell our story.  Oh how I wish he had these without a mama to hold his hand....
We had some somber moments of grieving, as he probably realized those he loved were not coming back for him.  Occasionally he would whimper and whine, especially before bedtime.  The bittersweetness of adoption, it will forever break my soul, that one has to lose, for my child to gain a family.

Exploring Shamain Island, with a little shopping and the best mango slushie from 7.11.

After four adoptions, I finally got one picture with the treasured sculpture, but an uncooperative child.  :(   Justin made it work and filled in.   It could have something to do with the 100+ temperature.   We just wanted to get back and into the pool!
